We specialize in historic building preservation and restoration. We have participated in the restoration of over seventy-eight National Historic Register properties. We understand and believe in the value of preserving the beauty of the past and can walk you through the process and take care of every aspect of restoration. CM Construction has worked on preservation projects across the state and we are familiar with the guidelines of individual Historic Districts, and have worked with Historic District Commissions on behalf of our clients. We strive to identify, retain and preserve the beauty of every historic building that we work on. We use The Secretary of Interior's Standards for Rehabilitation and Guidelines for Rehabilitating Historic Buildings as our guide. We protect and maintain, repair and replace as necessary in order to preserve the defining historic characteristics of a building. If a building is eligible, we can point you in the right direction to facilitate historical certification. We can point you to those who will help you prepare documents and assist with other necessary actions to gain tax credits and charitable donation deductions for eligible properties.
